I have, and seen that it COULD BE done with one single radial gradient, thus made my previous comment that it doesn't bring out the benefits.

Hmm I can't remember if I saw that before.
You drew a radial gradient there, which doesn't bring out the benefit of the technic in my humble opinion.

No, I did not draw a radial gradient.  I realize it looks sort of like a radial gradient though.

I'm attaching an SVG showing a different shaped path, if you or anyone wants to examine.  Maybe I'll add it in a comment to the tutorial too.

Photorealism won't make it better on an artistic scale in my opinion.
Nor would a process going on forever would be useful for challenges I guess.

And if I wanted a photo, then I wouldn't autotrace it -the original raster image would be fine for me.

So this time, adding a new flavor to it, with hatching:

Pretty funny how after a year about a year the exact same graphical problem popped up.
Will definitely need some more variants on it and redrawing.
