Title: Gradient Curvature
Post by: xPaxion on October 31, 2018, 12:26:44 PM
Hey,

Is it possible for a gradient to follow the curvature of a shape? For example if you have a wave shape could I have the gradient move from one side to the other but bend around the curve?

Here's an faq item about that:  https://inkscape.org/learn/faq/#how-bend-gradient-how-apply-gradient-stroke-so-it-bends-stroke-gradient-mesh

For that particular effect, I know a trick using markers, if the gradient does not involve transparency.  And I wrote a tutorial about it.  If the gradient uses transparency, it might not work very well.  Here's the tutorial:  https://forum.inkscapecommunity.com/index.php?action=articles;sa=view;article=22
