Hello everyone,
I have a simple question for you. I hope I can find the answer here after 2 hours of struggling. I have to exclude a part of a path. I use basically 2 paths and need to exclude the top part, as in the picture attached. I can specify that the path in the front has a transparency to be easier to see what I mean. Sorry about my grammar, not a native!
Thanks in advance for your help!

I'm not sure what result you want to achieve. You want to cut off the purely red part?
If that is the case, do Path > Intersection with a duplicate of the green path and the red path.
If your native language is German, you could learn a bit about the various boolean operations here:

Or in English:

Welcome to the forum!
It's hard to say for sure, without seeing the SVG file. For example, we have no idea which object is on top, from looking at the PNG. Or really which object the red part is part of. If you still can't sort it out from Moini's tutorial, you're welcome to share the SVG file with us.
