Title: Properties of files can't be copied to the new location
Post by: steveorg on August 09, 2017, 12:36:55 PM
I just tried to copy an Inkscape SVG to a USB drive. I received this message: The files has properties that can't be copied to the new location. The new file when opened in Inkscape is a bit corrupted.

Where are the missing properties and how can I copy them properly?

Welcome to the forum!

I've heard of people having problems like this when they copy to the root directory of the usb drive.  Sometimes the root directory isn't even writable.  But if you make a new folder in the usb drive, and put the SVG in the folder, it should be fine.
