Hi Friends,
This is a subject which I've never been very clear on, since I don't consider myself much of an artist. So I thought it might make a interesting topic.
When I think about famous artists, and how their images have titles and often dates. It seems like once the artwork is finished, it's finished, and they don't ever work on it again. But with Inkscape (or any graphics arts, I guess) it's often easy to go back and work on older images again. I've just never been clear whether I should ever think of editing an image that for the most part, I completed a long time ago.
So for example, there's always been something about my Inkscape Dictionary image, that doesn't seem to work right (for me), and I've never been able to quite put my finger on the problem. Today, I suddenly realized what the problem is! But is it too late now? Since I've uploaded it to my gallery a few years ago, is it considered "published" and should not be changed?
I mean, of course I realize I can edit if I want to. But I wonder if there is some kind of traditions about art and when it's complete. Maybe I should leave it alone, as sort of a testiment to the growth of an artist?? (
) And do better next time?
Does anyone have any thoughts or comments about this? Thanks
