Title: EU Flag, major accomplishment of the day
Post by: Bad Hair Day on June 22, 2019, 09:07:41 PM
So I made the EU Flag as part of the tutorials.  There are just so many controls, I was having a hard time learning things and then keeping it straight in my head, so I thought I'd just do some of the tutorials.

I'm finally able to see that I can do what I want to do in Inkscape, but it isn't exactly clickbait.

In order for me to have the map as big as I want I will need a canvas that is 20 meters by 20 meters in the program, with hexes that are 1cm in size.  I made a grid that was about half a meter square so far.  Things are still a bit off, but I'm getting there.

Thanks to all for support and kindnesses.  :)

You can also work in scale, say, 20cmx20cm, or 2m x 2m . It's vector. It scales losslessly.

Well your flag looks good!  Like Moini said, scale it down, 2m x 2m or whatever, then when done, you can easily resize with no loss of anything, vector can't rasterize!
