Hi Friends,
I just noticed a message at IF (http://www.inkscapeforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=16797). Someone has made a new icons file which will make the icons, which are nearly impossible to see on the 64-bit version of Inkscape (which I understand is Partha's signature gray windows), easier to see. I hope that IF member, doesn't mind me providing the link to that file here, as well.

Instructions: "Changing the icons is as simple as copying the modified "icon.svg" into "Program Files/Inkscape 0.48/share/icons/" and loading or reloading Inkscape."
I haven't tried them yet, and by the screenshot in above ref'd topic, not all icons are easier to see.
But it doesn't sound that hard to make an icon set. Maybe I'll try it?
