so I am a prop maker in the making I guess... I have been working on a few projects but really wanted to work on destiny 2's Prometheus lense because it had a wonderful start and is a fairly simple shape. with help from the wonderful bill(punished props) teaching me about the somewhat confusing and yet absolutely amazing free program called inkscape, I followed his guide on template making! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31XF5CQ5U0o
It took me a little but now I have a scaled template that I want which I think is 28 inches in width and 11 inches in height. all i need now to start working on my project is the template itself, but i have to print it out. how do i do that to my set dimensions? i dont have a huge fance printer around me that i can use like they did. i just have a standared old printer. can someone maybe help me figure out how to print my template out on sevral pieses of paper so i can tepe them together? thank you.

At least for Linux, there are programs that split an image for printing as a poster, with proper overlapping. I'd look for one of those.
Ah, the one I used is also available for Windows:

Welcome to the forum!
If that doesn't work, for some reason, I would think you'd have to slice up your image and paste into a few different documents. It would probably take some trial and error, and some work on the printer settings as well, since most printers have a preset margin. And you'd probably want no margin. But hopefully the kind of program Moini suggested will work.

sorry it took me so long to get back. just got back from a trip. it looks like an ok idea but when I try and upload/select the file it says it could not be loaded. do I have to convert it to a pdf maybe? if so how do I do that?

(Currently printing a huge image of a beach... sliced by posterazor. We've got our birthday present (a strandkorb) spending the winter in the living room, and need some adequate atmosphere ;-) )
