Title: Curve text using the top of the letters
Post by: sswift on May 14, 2019, 07:25:29 PM
Hello!

Thanks in advance for your advice.  I'm attempting to create curved text around a circle, and the top part looks just fine, the text -> path worked great for the top of the circle.

But there is text on the bottom of the circle too, and is curved on a path across the top of the letters.

I can't figure out how to make it happen.

Thanks!
Sean

Welcome to the forum!

You have to draw a new circle for the text at the bottom.  And put the bottom text on the new circle.  I think there's a demonstration in the manual....  Yes, if you need details, they are covered here:  http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/Text-Path.html  But we're still here if you get stuck  :)

Awesome!

I was missing the horizontal flip.  I put the text around the inner circle, H-flipped the outer circle, and then tied the bottom text to the outer circle!

Thank you very much!
