No, the 1 row, 2 cell table is just the simplest to test with. I probably would use something different. It's just for my own signature although if it is a bug, fixing it would fix for all members. Not sure if you just happened to visit, or you saw

I can't even add plain text to it. It's really looking to me like it's a problem with the bbcode and possibly only with the wysiwyg editor. (And not a bug at all.) When I switch out of wysiwyg mode (in my profile), I can make tables without any problems, and otherwise edit my sig at will.
I have half a mind to click that Toggle View button and fix the bbcode. But that Toggle View button is like inviting trouble, lol! Normally I avoid it like the plague. But it really does behave just like it does when there's some mixed up tags.
As per my last message in the SMF forum, I'm just wondering which would be the best way to go. Take risk and use Toggle View (not a very big risk, since it's not a very complicated signature). Or just switch out of wysiwyg mode to edit it. Actually, now that I realize the wysiwyg mode is controled from the profile, I might just not use it anyway. It doesn't always close tags, which especially bugs me when I need to use quotes.
Anyway, that's the summary
