Title: Set grid and rule to Inches

I would like to know how to change the ruler and the grid to inches?

Welcome to the forum!

File menu > Document Properties > Page tab.  At the very top, change Display Units.  You may notice, when you do that, the Scale option about halfway down, also changes.  Just ignore that.
