Title: Installing brushes??
Post by: acidblue on February 26, 2017, 05:16:02 PM
I downloaded some custom brushes and backgrounds but I don't know how to install them.
They are in .eps file format.
Could some one give a heads up?

Welcome to the forum!

Inkscape doesn't really have brushes.  Brushes are typically a raster graphics feature, and Inkscape is a vector graphics editor.

You can simulate brushes using Pattern Along Path.  http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/Paths-LivePathEffects-PatternAlongPath.html

Backgrounds can't be installed in  Inkscape either.  If you want to use an image as a background, you would simply import it.  I've never heard of installing a background in a raster graphics program, but it might be possible, and I've just never heard of it.
