I don't know if this is Beyond The Basics or a stupid newbie question, so sorry if I guessed wrong.
Anywhoo- when I'm saving an SVG file to an uploadable copy, I generally use Cairo PNG because I read that it preserves image quality well. And usually it does. But tonight, I keep trying to PNG-save the picture I spent all day working on, and the copies are all coming out a bit pixelated. I don't know why it's acting differently than usual. I don't think I'm doing anything different.

Cairo PNG is not the same as a normal PNG image. Use 'File > Export PNG image' for exporting. The Cairo option will be removed in future versions, because many others found it confusing, too.
