Title: Pretty Sure Bug: Baseline Text Not Reliable
Post by: Agrajag on November 01, 2018, 03:56:59 PM
I'm running 92.3 and have all about 140 different playing card SVG files I'm working on. Each card has flavor text. The text is pretty short in word count, and 11 point font: Almendra.

The text can be up to four lines long even with the short word count and what I've noticed is that one card will have dramatically more spacing between lines than another card and it's all over the place between the different cards. I've tried selecting the entire text entry and then settings it to 12px Line Height using the ? option, but that produces different results depending on how the text looked to start. If the text height was short then setting it to 12px will be much shorter than if the text height was already visibly larger.

I see mention of this being a Windows bug in 92.3, but I need to find a way to get this text uniform for printing.

What can I do?

Quick fix: Copy the correct text over from another card, and type the few words in again.
Slow fix: Share the file and let us take a look.

Thought of doing that, but every card seems a bit different so I wasn't sure how much it would help. If your Quick plan doesn't work, I'll go for the non-quick plan.
