Re: Extension to break apart paths into non-overlapping subp
Actually I have to say that the .inx file that I included is something that I just created by modifying some other .inx file(s) and I am really not sure that it is completely appropriate. (Presumably the <id> and the namespace can be anything you want??). What about the <dependency> nodes? But it di...

~suv wrote:Thanks for sharing - could you add an INX file to the archive as well? This would make testing the extension a lot easier
Sorry. I thought I had included that. Has been fixed now.

Re: Extension to break apart paths into non-overlapping subp
Well I have now succeeded in creating an extension to do more or less what I wanted. My particular thanks go to Nick -- author of this extension: close_curves , which proved helpful to creating this. The way this extension works. ⋅ Select a complex path ⋅ Do "Break Apart&q...

Re: Constantly logging out
What I mean by "the message is gone", is that when I click "submit" the forum sends me to the login window, and then if I click login, it sends me to the board index. On other forums that I have used I would be returned to the last place I was. But this forum always sends me back...

Constantly logging out
Every time I try to post a reply or comment on this forum, the interface returns me to the login screen, saying I must first login. This happens even when the screen already registers me as logged in. What makes this particularly annoying is that after login I am returned to the board index, so I ha...

Re: OS X Lion, Inkscape 0.48.2, command line fix
I have tried the method suggested by ~suv, but I still get the following error message every time:
Setting Language: .UTF-8
(process:830): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
Using the fallback 'C' locale.

Re: Extension to break apart paths into non-overlapping subp
You are of course correct that a true test of "non-overlapping" might be quite difficult. But for my purposes, a very simple idea of non-overlapping would be sufficient. As my example of the letters in a line of text indicates, checking the horizontal coordinates of the bounding box would...

Extension to break apart paths into non-overlapping subpaths
I have svgs consisting of complex paths that I would like to break into non-overlapping (sub)paths. Right now I break them apart by hand and then select and recombine the overlapping paths, but I have several hundred of these images and each consists of anywhere from 20 to 130 such overlapping group...

Using Extension "Restack" on Mac OSX 10.7 (Lion)
I had been using Inkscape on a Mac under OSX 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and everything was working fine. Of particular importance to me was the extension "Restack" which I understand to be a Python script. After upgrading to Mac OSX 10.7 this no longer works. Instead I get the following message: ...
