What tools could be applied to improve Social Network .SVG?
Hi, Actually, I am not a designer, but a researcher that deals with "social network analysis". The software I use (Visone) provides images of Social Networks in .SVG format. I consider the image much "plain" and I know that Inkscape could improve a lot .SVG images. So, I am going...

Re: How to convert EPS file created in Inkscape to Illustrat
Hi. I could use it now. After have converted to .EPS file, I realized the output format isn't good to use in Boris FX. In my test I created a simple 3D box and I could visualize just the form with both fill and stroke black. Do you know other software that convert to an EPS file compatible with Adob...

Re: How to convert EPS file created in Inkscape to Illustrat
Hi. Thanks for information.
The downloaded file was "xpdf-3.03.tar.gz". But inside the file there are a plenty of others but none with .exe extension. How could I install the software? Did I download the wrong file maybe?
Best,
Cadu

Handling WMF chart (geanerated by MSPowerPoint) into Inkscap
Hello, O exported a chart from MSPowerPoint in WMF format. I open and tried edit WMF file into Inkscape. First thing I did: right-click to context menu and "ungroup". After that some objects could be manipulated, but other seems to be grouped yet. But "ungroup" option isn't avail...

Re: Charts (Bar, Line, Pie etc.) through Inkscape
I solved this latter question about handling SVG (the problem was with my inexperience with Inkscape yet). But it seems to me that WMF has a better definition than SVG. Would be it just my impression? Is there any significative difference in use WMF or SVG? In my case I am just importing an chart ge...

Re: How to create transparent background (PNG) from single c
Hi, I made some tests in Gimp. To this usage (remove/create transparent background), Gimp works great when background is more homogeneous or single color. In these cases, it is just to make an selection and use in Gimp menu [ colours=>colour to alpha ]. The results are great and fast to any type of ...

Re: Charts (Bar, Line, Pie etc.) through Inkscape
Hi, Thanks everybody for information. I have tried all of them. IMHO the best "initial" way is using Draw (from OpenOffice). This is a vectorial tool and its graphs and charts have great quality and possibilities of handling. Moreover, there are a plenty of formats to exports, including SV...

Re: Inkscape providing drawings to video animation
Hi Maestral, Thanks for your elucidating answer! I am studying this whole thing recently and my own "learn curve" is showing that it could be really difficult to fit easy to non-animators in academic context. Anyway, I will have a better idea of the whole thing soon. I would appreciate new...

Re: Inkscape providing drawings to video animation
Hi Maestral, Your answer seemed little bit abstract for my understanding (I am not english native speaker). So, I am deducting Inkscape could provide powerful tools than Gimp, is it? I really don't know both but I will need to chose one soon. Or will both software be useful in some way? I am confuse...

Re: Inkscape providing drawings to video animation
Many thanks for your encouraging answer!!! I am not familiarized with Inkscape features yet. In the same way, I was wondering if Gimp could be useful as well. I just found Gimp has the plugin GAP (the GIMP Animation Package). I know Gimp forum will be best place to approach this software features, b...

How to create transparent background (PNG) from single color
