Re: Make Inkscape graphics sharp with the PixelSnap extension

Thanks for this extension bryhoyt. I just downloaded it to give it a test drive, sadly without any luck. I installed as described, putting the .py and .inx files in ~/.inkscape/extensions (and later I found ~/.config/Inkscape/extensions also). I restart Inkscape, and cannot see any menu entries for ...

Re: Cartoon penguin

Just one comment, if I may. The little spikey swatch of...fur, hair?? on top of head -- somewhere between the 1st stage (blue, no feet) and current version, the spike got rounded. I think I like it sharp better. But either way, I still like this. I guess it's little like a baby cartoon penguin isn'...

Re: Inkscape menus too big and can't be configured differently

Fixed, thanks to IRC help:

Add: "deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/inkscape-nightly/ubuntu intrepid main" to your sources.list.

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install inkscape-devel

Re: Inkscape menus too big and can't be configured differently

Thanks Simarilius. You pointed me in the right direction, but I was unprepared for the journey. :D I spent a bit of time in the #inkscape IRC room and a very helpful chap by the name of _MMA_ held my hand as I attempted to compile for the first time. It didn't work for me, but that's probably user e...

Inkscape menus too big and can't be configured differently

I'm using Inkscape on my Eee PC, with a screen resolution of 1024x600. This is too small to fit the whole UI. :( It seems that I cannot reconfigure the menus in any helpful way. I cannot remove icons selectively either. There is an option in the preferences to use smaller icons, but nothing happens ...

Cartoon penguin

I've spent yesterday evening working on a cartoon penguin in Inkscape. I'll release this with a liberal Creative Commons licence and as an SVG when I'm sure I'm happy with it. http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/334785/penguin_finished_01.png I've also attached my work in progress for those who may be curiou...

Tango Skull Icon

Hi all. This is my first Tango icon, and my first graphic completed entirely in Inkscape. It is intended to be a 48x48px icon, but I've uploaded it at double size. http://fc02.deviantart.com/fs30/f/2008/074/0/e/Pirated_by_Foomandoonian.png You can get the SVG here: http://drop.io/tangoskull Any and ...
