I was trying to do the same thing... except that I'm exporting to .eps which still shows the original paths and such just like they're not clipped at all. Is there a more "permanent" way of doing this or "collapsing" the clip so to speak or some other way without manually cutting...

Is there a way to get Inkscape to save your images which were designed using opacity options WITHOUT actual opacity, but keeping the same look? For example, I can save the image as a JPEG, then convert it to EPS. The problem is that you of course lose the vectorized data. But is there a way to get ...
