Re: changing stroke width pencil tool
Since the shapes drawn with pencil has no stroke and has only fill color, I think you can resize the shapes like other ones normally, or you can edit specific nodes to change the shape.

Re: mirror mode or symmetry mode
Mirror drawing would be a useful feature in Inkscape. I recently read this post about mirroring with clones, it might be useful for you: http://simarilius.wordpress.com/2006/08/26/mirror-mirror-on-the-wall/ Here is a Turkish friend, made a video about it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=di6cZIxPsC8 H...

Re: Using Art Explosion
wmf is Windows Meta File, that is the vector format of Windows system. Did you try to save an opened wmf file in Inkscape as SVG? Or you can try some tools for batch conversion, like converting a folder of wmf files to SVG. I found a link to a open source converter for Windows: http://www.svgfactory...

Re: Happy Bee
You have high quality artwork, I love it. But I am really curious, I also have Artrage, which I recently obtained with Wacom Tablet (they gave it for free). How do you integrate Artrage to your Inkscape illustrations? Do you work with the exported png file?

Re: Inkscape and Alchemy
I am using Alchemy and it is a really unique application. It is just useful to draw chaotic shapes and try to find a pattern, an idea in these shapes. If you wonder what I mean, check out this video: http://vimeo.com/6143607 David Revoy uses Alchemy, MyPaint (it is a great painting application) and ...

Re: The Greys
Nice work and drawings. I think there's one problem, the bubbles. You can find good comic fonts from http://blambot.com/ . It would look better with appropriate comic fonts.

Re: iPhone 3G
It is nice, I liked it. I have some suggestions if you don't mind. Try reducing the border size and the size of the white stroke a little. And also add gradient to this strokes. And finally add a short reflection of iphone under it.

Re: I'm proff designer and have a few questions.-
There is a plugin for gimp called "separate" for CMYK color separation. It comes in a package called gimp-plugin-registry in Ubuntu, but I do not know which linux distro you are using. You can download and install this plugin for CMYK.

Re: making an inner bevel
You are right. He uses a 13 kind of filter effect to create this. Wait wait, ok. I am confused. He just used Filters-->Ridges-->Soft Ridge effect on a blue circle with black stroke. It is in the svn version but I don't know if it is present in version 0.46. It is very interesting. I would like to re...

Re: making an inner bevel
First he duplicated the blue shape in bevel mask layer with CTrL+D. Then he choose black for fill and stroke color for this shape and inceased its size a liitle more than the blue circle. He increased size to the bottom. Two circles are in the same size. Then he decreased the opacity of the circle t...

Re: Filters
Blend tool is used to blend two overlapping objects, but this tool depends on two variables: the RGB color of object and the opacity. If your objects are with full opacity, you don't get any different result in normal mode and just a color change effect in the other modes. You need transparency or t...

Re: Noobish Question (I think)
If you want to make Difference, you have to select two paths (shapes). For selecting both, select first one and holding down the Shift key, select the other one. Then Path-->Difference. Also the positioning order of the shapes are important. If your circle are above rectangle, it will create a diffe...

Re: Fresh Icons Project
Currently, I am trying to create a fixed palette for icon set which includes color from these icons and more additional colors. I could not decide an easy way to form a palette, I will try some applications like Agave.

Re: Splitted path as different objects
You can add a node to where you want to split the path. Then you select this node, the split point and make Path--Break apart. Now you can split the path, select each path and style them.

Re: Links in PDFs created by Inkscape
I don't know about linking pdfs in inkscape, but you can do this easily in Scribus, a desktop publishing application which is a free software. You can import SVG file in it, link anything and then save as pdf.

Re: Simple Portraits
Nice work with faces and the t-shirt! It is nice to see a good use of inkscape for portraits. I think you can add some shadows without ruining the portrait style and it will be better. Also color details can be rearranged. Good work.

Fresh Icons Project
Hello, I am new in the forum, and I want to post my recently finished icon work in inkscape. I designed only two icons yet, but I want to add more icons in the future. I plan to make an icon set for Ubuntu or Kubuntu. Feedback appreciated. Standard folder icon http://ufuxlinux.com/wp-content/uploads...
