Re: Someone is selling Inkscape (or at least using it name)
Ooohh, I see! The license is GNU GPL! I was confused (big surprise lol). GPL = GNU Public Licence Huh I thought that was General Public Licence. Anyways, I should have carefully read the licence, so ok may we can't sue them. Like Bobsongs said, it is clear that either they are not making a lot of s...

Someone is selling Inkscape (or at least using it name)
I just stumbled upon this site http://www.junctioncomputers.com/inkscape-vector-graphics-suite/ I've never heard about "junction computers" and site looks like it is being developed. It seems to be selling inkscape as part of its alleged "Inkscape vector graphics suite". Hey that...

Re: Local path simplification?
I don't know exactly how, but it's possible with the mouse to select several adjacent nodes too. I happen to have a fancy touchpad mouse. If I select a single node, and drag my finger upwards along the left edge of the mouse, it selects adjacent nodes until I stop dragging my finger. In a tradition...

Re: Local path simplification?
Thank You for the reply nesDK! I do see the option for adding or deleting nodes, but I cannot find anything that handles node distribution at large. And the nodes are too numerous for me to delete individually. ^^; Now I could separate the portion I want by breaking the path and then simplify and re...

Re: Fill in Open Paths - Known Issue?
What I can't figure out, is how the hair object exists as a compound path with 2 subpaths (generally concentric circles) and the center isn't filled, while the fill rule is still Non-Zero. And if you draw from the lower left node, the center remains not filled. But if you draw from the upper node, ...

Local path simplification?
I tried to search for this in the manual and also in online references but couldn't find anything. My question is; is it possible in Inkscape to to locally simplify a path i.e. can I use simplify only on a portion of a path and not the entire thing? I'm sorry if this is a really basic question, but ...

Fill in Open Paths - Known Issue?
This is something I noticed while drawing in Inkscape. I have a shape which has an inner and an outer boundary. I wanted to edit the outer boundary so I broke the outer path to add more lines in between. However I noticed that drawing using :tool_pencil: messed up somehow with the fill. But the thin...
