You can use File>Bitmap Export. Tell which area you want to export (page, drawing, selection), which resolution, and finally where. Then press Export and its done.
If you know gimp a bit, you might consider importing your svg with the Gimp path palette. But it depends of your needs.

Inkscape is a very advanced SVG editor, so that many things you do with it won't be supported in other. I can't see no other solution that using another standard like PDF, EPS, or finally and unfortunately PNG. have you tried converting through SK1 ? sk1 does good job with CorelDraw, so that might b...
