Yes, Alt key seems to work with other feature, as spacing and Kerning. My Os are Windows XP Pro and Vista. It seems to work on Kubuntu using Alt + AltGr + [ (or ] ). See the attachment.

There's anyone that can tell me the name of the verbs that implement this funcionality? (I just want to set it in inkscape.xml file).
