Hi
OS Windows Vista. Inkscape 0.48
Saved a simple rendering in PDF then used "Open with" option and had no problems. Also used "Open an existing document " option with no problems.
Try re-installing Inkscape

Re: Change Pattern along Path width to my preference
Notice that the "shaped" path is rendered with a fill not a stroke set in its attributes It was the Fill width i wanted to change and set to "my preference" from it's default of 1.00 suv. No worries, will use the width of pattern function. Apologies for any confusion caused brynn.

Change Pattern along Path width to my preference
Hi guys
When using in a Shape mode. The default width of the path is set to 1.00 ( which we can change to a desired width). My query is, can i set path width permanently to say 0.3 or 0.5 instead of the default 1.00.

Alex at launch pad Go to "File->Document Properties..." and choose "Fit page to selection" on the "Page" tab. This will expand/shrink the page to match the size of your drawing (or the part you select). After you have done that, EPS should be exported correctly. EPS fil...

Re: How to make symmetrical crescent ? Shape and Angle
You could try Go to View and Turn on Grid go to Document Propeties> Grids > Select Axononmetric Grid from drop down menu and Press New, enter the desired angle in Angle X and Z boxes (you can disable the rectangular grid if required on the rectangular grid tab by unchecking the Enable box) You shoul...

Re: Reducung SVG file size even more ??
All that said, there's one more thing I could mention. After you finish your image, and before you Export Bitmap (or export whatever), do File menu > Vacuum Defs. This deletes a lot of info in the data file that you might have used while creating your image, changing your mind on colors, trying dif...
