Help with font not displaying correctly
I'm working with a hockey team's specialized font. The capital C and A display differently because the captain's C and the alternate captains' As are specially-designed. However, when trying to input those characters into Inkscape, they don't display correctly. I've upgraded to the latest version of...

Re: Running into a strange issue upon export
You know, I never even thought of checking to see if I needed an upgrade. I just checked and I've been running 0.48 this whole time.
As Adam Savage would say, well there's your problem!

Running into a strange issue upon export
I'm back again with one of my NHL logo problems, which is coming up with this Washington Capitals logo. For some reason - regardless of whether I use the SVG downloaded from Wikipedia (which can be found here ) or the recolored version I've posted here - when I export it to PNG, the S in CAPITALS is...

Converting raster to vector - looking for the basics
http://i.imgur.com/DYqHhJMl.png That is my Nike hockey jersey template. I'm trying to make the move from raster editing to vector editing and one thing I really want to do is keep using my own template. It fits the project I'm working on. I feel like the design is simple enough to the point where g...

Re: Selecting colors/Outlining/Backgrounds
Sorry for another late reply, but I've finally (being promoted to full time at work has sapped my time, as expected) been able to get back to working on this project and I'm still having the problem with this logo. No matter what I try (keep in mind that I'm still trying to learn what 75% of the pro...

Re: Selecting colors/Outlining/Backgrounds
Sorry for bumping a nearly year-old thread but since the subject I'm about to ask is along the same lines as what I've already asked, I figured it wouldn't be worth it to start a new thread. Anyway, I'm still working on the aforementioned hockey project. Right now I'm working on the Nashville Predat...

Re: Converting raster to vector
Well, the way I see it, tracing that one would be easier since I'd just have to trace the white blocks and then trace the red layers over them.

Re: Converting raster to vector
Alright, maybe I should try with a slightly simpler image. Let me see if I can find a good example.

Maybe this would work.

Re: Converting raster to vector
Oh, OK. So I need to trace the objects myself? I suppose something like that was inevitable.

Converting raster to vector
First of all, I'd like to reiterate my thanks to those of you who assisted me with my last topic. I've definitely gotten a lot better thanks to the help therein. Now I want to move onto the next step of the learning process. I'm still working on some logo-related stuff. While I can find a lot of SVG...

Re: Selecting colors/Outlining/Backgrounds
Well, it seems I've run into a new problem. I need to export a PNG with three separate background colors. The image I'm working on has a white jersey, a red jersey and a black jersey. I've changed the background for each but when I export the PNG, the colors of the logo itself aren't identical. http...

Re: Selecting colors/Outlining/Backgrounds
Well, I finally figured it out now. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v189/RXTEWMU/ChicagoBlackhawksLogoRecoloredwithStrokeandBackground_zps48c1f12d.png I was trying to add the background as an object, which I didn't need to do. All I needed to do was change the background color under Document Prope...

Re: Selecting colors/Outlining/Backgrounds
I haven't been following this closely over the last day or 2, but I'm not understanding why you wanted a non-transparent background, if you thought you wanted to "cut out" the logo. Because I want to paste it onto a colored background. Anyway, I've been working on this a bit more lately. ...
