Hello, I would like to draw a dashed line around the outer edge of the elliptical router icon, however using the 'Create circles, ellipses, and arcs (F5)' function, I cannot match the exact perimeter of the router icon image.

Any suggestions please?

I was adding a text field by dragging out a large rectangle text area. I just clicked on the canvas and started typing text which worked.

The black rectangle rather than text, shows even if I don't drag the text. I just add a text field and enter text and save .svg file, then open in Image Viewer?

I think the 5 steps is easier than the 2nd suggestion, which may require lining up text objects horizontally, which is another learning curve for me. Might be easier once I know how.

Hello, I'm having trouble colouring text different colours.
The text has no spaces and I need to use the colour dropper to select the colour.
The dropper removes the highlighted 1st 5 characters of text, stopping the 1st 5 characters having a different colour to the last 7 characters.
