Re: Problem with Color Management and Softproofing
Oops in the last line I meant SRGB as printer profile.

Re: Problem with Color Management and Softproofing
You should not use SRGB as a screen profile, it is a work profile. Do not modify the original SRGB profile. You must use a calibration file or nonlinear profile made for your monitor. Hence the name "display profile". Besides, absolute rendering is not the rendering to use for out of gamut...

Re: Painting particles
See the manual http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL ... Trace.html.
You can use it on a 1x1 tiling (group your particles first)

Re: Inkscape Nightly Build 03-23-09
Both problems are caused by the Wacom driver (or GTK+) not limiting the input rate. There was a patch for version 0.46, but don't expect it to work on current snapshots. For the problem with setting parameters, you can work around using a normal roll mouse (I would prefer entering these parameters b...

You can rotate the handles with the bracket keys, if you have only one node selected

Re: Problem with saving documents
Rev. 20046 is probably not good, the filesize shown on the server is bad.
Wait for rev. 20090 or newer.
Or go back to rev. 20040.

Re: Inkscape and Wacom Tablet
I upgraded my drivers to 6.1.0-5(RC) the other day and lost pressure sensetivity in Inkscape and GIMP (but not in other applications). I had to go back to version 6.08-4a
I did also upgrade, but had no problems with that in inkscape (using latest devel. revision).
I have not tried with GIMP.

Re: trying a tiled clone w/radial placement
All the "bad" layers have a "transform : translate[..]" attribute, ... That was what I intended to say above. But a while after running a test, I noticed that it was done with P6 symmetry instead of P1. So I was just feeling too stupid for a moment to test more. Some time ago, I...

Re: trying a tiled clone w/radial placement
If you in preferences have checked Transform - Store Transform - Preserved (instead of Optimized),
you will get the behavior described, if the original object has been moved.
Oops, I think I said some nonsense here. Please ignore it.

Re: trying a tiled clone w/radial placement
If your original object has some transformations done on it, it may be that its clones pick those up (inherit them) so you have additional functions performed on the clones in addition to the tile clones command. If you in preferences have checked Transform - Store Transform - Preserved (instead of...

Re: Error when saving a palette
I'm using Windows, but use cygwin for find, grep and scripting (and much more). :P I have run SysInternals FileMon utility, and I can see that the above mentioned file minidom.py has been run in connection with trying to save the .gpl file, and there has been no conflicts with the other Python insta...

Re: Error when saving a palette
Running find and grep under the Inkscape directory, I found: $ find . -name \*.py -exec grep -nH hasAttributes {} \; ./python/Lib/xml/dom/minidom.py:822: def hasAttributes(self): It looks like the minidom.py program is expected to be initialized, but is not. My snapshot is installed (copied into) in...

[solved] Error when saving a palette
When I try to save a palette with save as .gpl, I get an empty palette file and this message: Inkscape has received additional data from the script executed. The script did not return an error, but this may indicate the results will not be as expected. Traceback (most recent call last): File "C...
