The tree is supposed to printed flat, Polygon just went one better and created the bracelet. I did try to print the bracelet but ended up with spaghetti. maybe the gcode needs tweaking. will keep playing.

Re: Line drawing to a 3D print
That is a rather spectacular bracelet. Yes, I have made some inserts for a couple of old light fittings. (Morris 8 side lights). I made them in tinkercad. However I am unable to make my tree in that programme. (Other smarter people may be able to). My original drawing was made in Xara and saved as a...

Re: Line drawing to a 3D print
Thank you Polygon, have loaded the printer with gcode, .stl..obj. The printer does not accept the .stl - it will load the .obj but then ignores it. (These were all extentions when trying to print the bracelet). Starting to think the Cura software may be the problem. Not using a mac so the Cheetah wo...

Re: Line drawing to a 3D print
Thanks bryn, I have made a line drawing of a tree trunk (hope it came through on earlier post). I wish to make a 3d print of this drawing. My printer is a Cocoon Create with a 200 x 200 x 200 capacity. The software is Cura 18.03. I normally make my models in Tinkercad, save as gcode and open in Cura...

Re: Line drawing to a 3D print
Hi tylerdurden and Polygon, thanks for the replies, tried the paths bit, no go! Went to instuctables and found a conversion - works well to the point of loading as an .stl but will not print. Says it has multiple layers but cannot be seen in the layer file. Polygon, that looks great how was the orig...

Line drawing to a 3D print
Hi all, OK I'm new to this. I have made a simple line drawing of a tree trunk. Saved as .svg, imported to Tinkercad and am not getting the result I want. All the open spaces are filled in. When I type a name in a script font and save the same way, Tinkercad displays it perfectly. If I could post som...
