Hello,
To change the colour of a Guideline, I know how to do this.
But changing its thickness how can I do this?
Tried some browsing here on this forum but could not find a clue.

Re: Only dots are printed and not the line
Hi. Try saving as PDF and then print the PDF file. Printing directly from Inkscape works like a charm here using Inkscape 0.92.4 on Windows 10. ( Works on my Linux boxes as well ) I did that and when I click on "print preview" the lines are there but when I then actually print it those li...

Only dots are printed and not the line
Long time ago that I had a problem with Inkscape! But now I stumbled across a problem which I cannot solve. In the attachment I have drawn a family of characteristics which are quite often used in vacuum tube electronics. In Inkscape I connected all the dots of one line using "Draw Bezier curve...

Re: Cannot draw solid line at first
Well, thanks for our suggestions! But the strange thing here is that, after I shut down Inkscape and opened it again, the normal behaviour was back :? I then (again) checked the prefs for "pen" and I noticed that it was the same as I was facing that strange behaviour and so was "as us...

Cannot draw solid line at first
What happend I do not have the foggiest idea but suddenly I cannot draw a solid line in the first attempt using Shift+F6 (Bezier curves and straight lines). It always now shows as a dashed line at first and I have to modify it into a solid line. When I look into "Fill and Stroke" all the m...

Re: Help with drawing a classical Spanish Guitar
This can also help: https://openclipart.org/search/?query=guitar+acoustic+ You can search, select and import a drawing from openclipart right from inside your Inkscape by going to "File > Import Clip Art...". Thanks prkos, just visited the link you gave. I am sure that I can use one of th...

Re: Help with drawing a classical Spanish Guitar
Thank you very much brynn and tylerdurden for your valuable information. I am starting to investigate those wealth on drawings. I obviously have chosen the wrong search terms on the internet! Although I have moderate experience using Inkscape, I hope I can manage to get things going. And my experien...

Help with drawing a classical Spanish Guitar
Have searched the internet for some help how to draw a classical Spanish Guitar without success. I only need a front drawing of that Guitar. tylerdurden and Moini, That was the solution for my Linux KDE5-plasma desktop!! :D In my linux KDE4 desktop there is no such option as "Apply colors to non-Qt applications" but instead there is "Apply colors to non-KDE4" applications and that possibility is still checked giving n...

Changing contrast text in its box[Solved]
Have to confess that I do not know if this has something to do with my O.S. (LinuxOS KDE5-Plasma) or that I can do this with modifying something in Inkscape 0.92: When hoovering over an icon, for instance an icon in the ToolBox, the function of the icon (for instance "Draw freehand lines")...

You're welcome! Just as a general suggestion... You might want to prepend [solved] to the title of your first post. disappearing handles[Solved]
In the latest Inkscape version 0.92, when I draw a straight line and want for instance to make it longer/shorter, I use of course first F1, select that line and on both ends "handles" appear. Then selecting one of the handles with my cursor to modify the line those "handles" disa...

Re: Large space between text lines
Well, somehow I managed to set things as I had before. I did not exactly know what caused my problems but both the spacing and that navigating when using those arrow keys are working now. God do I regret having updated Inskape without any second thoughts :( Next time I will be very VERY cautious......

Re: Large space between text lines
Thanks you all, but normally I do not have to change that spacing to the desired one when I once have done that. But now I have to do this every time when entering text to get a good result. Is there a default value that I can somewhere set? And moreover, when entering text (create and edit text obj...

Re: Large space between text lines
Thanks tylerdurden for your reply but,......
I do not understand a word of it.
I DID NOT CHANGE ANYTHING and AFTER that version update ALL my
schematic diagrams, when I want to change text, show this stupid space.
And I do not have the foggiest idea how to correct this!!

Large space between text lines
After the large Inkscape update to version 0.92, I am facing the problem which I have shown in the attachment. On the left of the vertically placed resistor symbol, in the new version there is a large space between R2 and 2k. I did this next to the situation which was in the older version. Whatever ...

Re: Inkscape refuses to restore geometry
brynn, sorry for my late response. A lot of other issues took my attention.
But my problem resembles closely that of bug number 195683.
I am afraid I have to wait until this bug is solved , or can I do some fiddling?

A4-millimeter Cartesian Grid almost impossible to use
After constructing an A4 Cartesian grid and then adding a new layer upon it to draw a characteristic, I experience a huge slowdown when starting to draw some lines in that new layer. Cannot understand why because that Grid.svg is only a 25kB file. I certainly did something completely wrong when cons...
