In 0.46 I have a DXF option called 'Desktop Cutting Plotter *.DXF', maybe you can use that?
I think I remember from the old (but good!) 2D-CAD days that the plotter drivers allowed plotting to file. Maybe you can find an HP plotter driver that you can use.

Re: 0.47 too slow with wacom tablet
Sorry to sidetrack this thread but can I ask how you are using the Wacom with Inkscape? I have a Wacom Intuos 3 and I don't find it very useful in Inkscape while I use it for everything else (Pro/Engineer, Paint Shop Pro and Xara Xtreme). It's the little things like zooming/panning etc. Zooming I ca...

Re: Page zero, circle coordinates
So far so good:
I have made it crash some times already, is that to be expected?

Re: Page zero, circle coordinates
Thanks, I am already using the grid and guides. I started with the circle and aligned the other objects to it, my biggest problem was aligning the circle to the crossing of the two guide lines in the beginning. I think I already have a snap-to-object-center option in 0.46? I have enough to do learni...

Page zero, circle coordinates
I'm trying to use Inkscape for sketching technical concepts like this: http://www.radmer.dk/web/inkscape1.jpg For positioning elements it would be easier to have the ruler zeros in the center of the page, is that possible? Is it possible to position a circle using the center coordinates? There's a l...

Selecting text font (with preview)
I'm sorry, this is probably a newbie question but I can't select text in the tool bar, only by opening the text and font menu.
I can select fonts size but not the fonts.
Happy new year

Re: Your first Inkscape drawing
I really enjoyed the HeathenX screencasts with the "Airline illustration" method so I had to try that. Being a guitarist I had to use another image though ;-) Watching the video everything seems so easy but doing it yourself is another thing! http://www.radmer.dk/web/hendrix.png Thanks a l...

"Vista" type depth view of objects
I would like to have a way of displaying the 'depth' structure of many layered objects (and maybe Layers too). What-if there was a 'Vista' function that could show all the objects like this: http://www.radmer.dk/web/vista.jpg Maybe Inkscape already has a function doing this? Then please forgive this...

Re: Need your help with Wacom graphic board
ahh yes, keeping the cursor absolutely still does the trick with tool tips. I can't get my pen buttons to map correctly, Inkscape insists mapping the middle button as the right mouse button and the top button as the middle mouse buttonon the pen! I tried adding Inkscape as an application in the Waco...

Re: Need your help with Wacom graphic board
I just started using Inkscape (on Windows XP Proff) and I have a Wacom Intuos 3 that I use for 3D CAD work (Pro/Engineer). The tablet is working is Inkscape but it has some strange behaviours compared to the mouse: - The tooltips don't show when I use the tablet, only with the mouse - The tablet pen...
