As a matter of fact I've found the information you mentioned regarding the attempt Inkscape makes to save on crash... anyway the file I needed was not in the folder. I think I'll try your suggestion and migrate to a newer version, this way perhaps the next time...

Hi there folks! I've been using Inkscape for a while now and I like it. But, the thing is it crashes too often!... This wouldn't be a problem if, when restarted, it rocovered the document(s) that were open and unsaved before the crash. I saw somewhere that someone recoverd his work. So, my questions...
