embed SVG images in posts?
I don't know if phpBB allows it, or needs customisation for it, but it would be nice to be able to embed SVGs here, seeing as it's the Inkscape forums. A regular embed tag should do it.

Re: Renaming pattern labels
I will. Just wanted to know if I was missing something. I'm sure they have better things to do than deal with bogus reports. It just seems obvious there should be a way, just as the Default patterns have a label.

Re: Renaming pattern labels
Oh, I remember now why I decided it was only for the Default patterns. Whereas inkscape:stockid in a file shows up as a label in the Pattern Fill dialog, it doesn't actually work if you try and change it to another user-defined pattern, only if to a default pattern. It just ignores the request. Not ...

Re: Renaming pattern labels
Wasn't sure what to call it. I was trying to think what it's called in HTML or CSS. You call Label for a property, too. I already tried Label, and it didn't work. I had also looked at patterns.svg which comes with 0.46 Dev, and noticed the Attribute inkscape:stockid which is used there to name the P...

Renaming pattern labels
Does anyone know the XML property to add to have a custom pattern appear with a more human-readable label with spaces, ie not just renaming the ID?

Re: Soviet Dog
Heh. Gotta watch those toothless Soviet dogs. I like the overall design, texture and typography. It looks like he forgot to put his dentures in, though. I don't know anything about the theme of Soviet dogs, though, whether it's a vicious breed, a political metaphor, just a bit of nonsensical fun, or...

Re: New design: Nosferatu
I very much like the background texture, but the "Nosferatu" is too bent, not following the banner, and Nosferatu himself (if he was called that in the movie, I know it was to replace "Vampire" which was still under copyright) looks to be simply autotraced without being fixed up;...

Re: Stitch Subpath effect
Ok, had a play, and I'll post my own screenshot: http://users.tpg.com.au/staer/images/Inkscape-Subpath-stitching.gif Edit: i just found out how to rotate an object by an arbitrary amount (eg 120deg for a hexagon), so I guess it can be reproduced, though not automatically. A pity.

Re: Stitch Subpath effect
Thanks, nice reply nicely illustrated. To reverse the direction of the path, do you have to redraw it, starting from the other end, or is there a function to do that? I'm not a mathematician or programmer, but the site they link to has little Java programs to recreate string art; the first one, Para...

[solved] Stitch Subpath effect
Does anyone have a good idea on how to use this feature in 0.46? I've read the release notes , and I can create a basic effect between 2 straight lines, but other shapes creates what seems like random lines, not anything resembling String Art, as the notes mention, let alone anything like the art fr...

Re: The Peach and The Milk
This seems to be either an Inkscape or Firefox bug: When I go to openclipart to view it: http://openclipart.org/people/jonata/jonata_The_Peach_and_the_Milk.svgz Firefox gives this error: XML Parsing Error: not well-formed Location: http://openclipart.org/people/jonata/jonata_The_Peach_and_the_Milk.s...
