Thanks for the suggestion microUgly, Unfortunately, my search for an Ubuntu version of svg2pdf has come up empty. I've downloaded the svg2pdf source code from ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/distfiles/, but my config tells me I need libsvg-cairo. I can't seem to find that library for Ubuntu....
