Re: Firefox SVG Matrix scale problems

I have now found out that since Lazur cleaned the SVG from a lot of clip-paths, the map didn't work correctly in Firefox. Links and mouseover effects didn't work. I found the problem was that although clip-paths were removed, the references to the clip-paths weren't removed. Firefox couldn't manage ...

Re: Firefox SVG Matrix scale problems

Lazur,

Thank you for the rundown :-) It will definitely be useful later!

I have now written to the Mozilla SVG team, to see if they can figure out, what is wrong with the transform attribute on links and if they can confirm it is a bug or not.

Re: Can't remove inline styles on object

Thanks ~suv,

Wow, this bug have been known for more than 3 years :-(
The mentioned extension looks useful, but it does give a little extra work, that shouldn't be necessary, if Inkscape was fixed :-)

Too bad that I don't know anything about coding c++ or gtk.. :-D

Re: Firefox SVG Matrix scale problems

Hi Lazur, Thank you for helping out and confirming the issue with Firefox! Wow, you almost removed half the file-size. Weird that there was too much clipping. I just used Inkscape to make the clipping, but I guess that Inkscape isn't all ready to do this "cleanup" by itself. I will take a ...

Firefox SVG Matrix scale problems

Hi y'all, I am getting a somewhat odd result with an SVG file and I can only reproduce the "bug" in Firefox (v27, current latest stable version). I couldn't find anything on the great internet, that would suggest that Firefox got any known bugs when using a matrix(...) in the transform att...

Re: Can't remove inline styles on object

Hi hulf2012, Okay, so it is still not fully developed :-( Very sad news, as it really is one of the big forces for SVG files that you can add the same styling to multiple objects via CSS. I have now found out that if I, via the XML editor, try to remove the styles attribute on the elements, since I ...

Re: Can't remove inline styles on object

Hi Lazur, The problem was that even when I set them to undefined, they still had styling. I later found out, that when I unset all styles from all elements, it didn't remove styles added via class/id CSS in <style type="text/css" /> . And AFAIK, you currently can't see CSS for an object in...

Re: Extracting a rectangle area as SVG

Thank you for the reply. Hmm, dammit.. Manuel labour ;-) Maybe it is worth as a feature-request, if it isn't already on the list. it shouldn't be a big thing, for the right people, to make it possible in Inkscape. It should just be an option called "Crop", which does a few things, such as:...

Can't remove inline styles on object

I have problems with inline styles in a SVG file, where Inkscape won't remove the inline styles (fill, stroke and more) via neither "XML Editor (Shift+Control+X)" nor the "Fill and Stroke (Shift+Ctrl+F)" palette. In the "Fill and Stroke" palette, when I select "No ...

Extracting a rectangle area as SVG

Hi y'all, I am trying to cut out a part of an existing SVG, because I don't need the full SVG. I am new to Inkscape, but have spent the whole day looking at tutorials and videos to get this done, but I can't see how it is possible without doing a large amount of work - work I don't mind doing, but w...
