Thanks @Lazur interesting article.... and thanks for pointing that out @tylerdurden Soo just created a new circle with the ellipse tool.. the gap was there... zoomed in.... Used the edit path by nodes tool (was it already a path?) ..clicked on the 2 circles at the break in the circle.. it joined up....
