Well I've had a very quick go at trying to recreate the effect and I can get the shading to look okay, but it takes a while. I think I'll leave out trying to recreate that drawing. Going by how long it takes me to shade a simple shape, it'll take me about a month to do a very bad copy of that pic :r...
