Is it possible without compiling Inkscape sources ?

Oh yes. I want to do these operations (combine and amalgamate two nodes) with an extension inkscape in XML. A+ oups ! I'm very unforgivable. I have juste installed the lasts updates in Ubuntu 9.10 and now, fonts work finely.
I have done nothing else but the problem has desappeared. And that is what I hoped.
