This is a read-only archive of the inkscapeforum.com site. You can search for info here or post new questions and comments at I figured out what the problem was. It has nothing to do with Inkscape. It's the google page creator (GPC) which was messing up the transparent background. So for people who might come across a similar situation in future, edit the GPC code to point to the correct uploaded image file.
