Re: FitCanvasToDrawing verb on command line brining up GUI
Got the same issue on a Ubuntu 14.04 LTS server running Inkscape 0.48 that is doing mass conversion from AI to SVG.
What is the best way to request the "FitCanvasToDrawing" feature be added as a command line only feature,
or is that problematic for some reason?

Re: [Solved] 0.91 Win-64 / 32-bit won't start on Windows 7?
I have 0.91 for Win-64 and I have Windows 10 (1511); The app takes 3-4 minutes to launch. It worked fine with Windows 7.
It can't be true that the only solution is removing fonts! I am using Chinese fonts and I NEED them! In Windows 7, I had the same fonts installed, and it worked fine.

I've almost got it. Now I get those feint white stripes you were mentioning. How do I get rid of those white lines? I read your explanation above but didn't really understand the solution.

Re: Can Inkscape Duplicate this Illustrator Image ?
Lazur, When I try to rebuild what you did with the source file it comes out almost identical.
The one difference is the white outer diameter of the circle overlaps onto the main image. How do you eliminate this final white ring?

Applying a Gradient
I have black stripes that follow a path in the image below (attached to message). I put a gradient on top of them. I want to take the area of overlap of the gradient and stripy path and pull it out and move it to the side. This moved object will be my black stripes, only with a gradient color. How d...

Can Inkscape Duplicate this Illustrator Image ?
The image below is from a Photoshop tutorial. Can we do this in Inkscape? http://blog.spoongraphics.co.uk/tutorials/how-to-create-geometric-stripy-line-art-in-illustrator I was stopped almost at the beginning when it talks about creating a brush. Apparently we can't do that in Inkscape. So how else ...

Re: Fill Traced Path Background
Thanks it's almost perfect! Dont even need to change the inset, just a little area which was not enclosed now it's still transaparent, but now I can use more "raw" methods, I'l just try to change the brightness cutoff or cut a piece, many thanks again

Fill Traced Path Background
I'm using Path->Trace bitmap to vectorize a "complex" image (meaning no geometric figure), the result is exactly what I want but the background it's transparent. I'd like to fill it with white. Fill doesn't work because it leaves a transparent line, and making the stroke bigger won't work ...

Re: draw from triangle issue
I don't know what you mean with "DFT feature". Are you using an extension? which one? Yes. DFT is Draw From Triangle as in topic title. I still don't understand the first part. Where does He want the circles be drawn? Circles must be drawn over the original triangle, at certain position (...

Hello. I am trying to use DFT feature, but all circles are created at the distance from original object and have odd outline style. DFT will work ONLY if the document size was not changed (1), if else will not (2). http://i63.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1027/84/64418fc18a28e458b9558113f0777a84.jpg Odd outli...

Re: "modify path - perspective" turns text 90 degrees
Perspective extension maps bottom left of your selection to the first point you draw, and continues clockwise for the next three. Illustrator 'assumes' that you want it drawn the 'usual' way. Seems to me for the cost of learning the right order to draw the path you are getting much more versatility...

Re: "modify path - perspective" turns text 90 degrees
This is shockingly complicated compared to Illustrator. If I'm not satisfied, I need to go back about four steps, whereas in Illustrator, one undo is enough.
