@Xav : oh waw... Indeed! Again my apologies - when you mentioned the filters, I thought you were referring to the Filters option in the menu bar and if I used them on these objects. But yeah, done that and removed the filter(s) and it was resolved (it didn't delete the blend mode though). Will test ...

hi Moini, Thanks a lot for the reply - well, more information : http://i.imgur.com/OKuJy7C.png I've marked the 'odd' behaviour with those black lines : initially, there were 3 items on those 2 layers : 2 circles and 1 textobject. All of them with 50% alpha... So along those lines, there's that 'rect...
