Can Inkscape remember the last selected tool?
I'm still a novice and having trouble drawing what I want in 1 stroke and I use the eraser a lot. I'm using a Wacom Intuous 5 and each time I start Inkscape, I have to tap the eraser end of my stylus on the eraser tool for it to register. Is there a way for Inkscape to remember my last selected tool...

Re: How can I pan horizontally with touch tablet?
OK, I've figured it out. I gave up on trying to use the touch interface (which I think only maps to equivalent mouse actions) to scroll horizontally. I just set the action of a button on my pen to do pan/scroll - way more precise and easier to use than touch.

How can I pan horizontally with touch tablet?
I have a Wacom Intuos 5 and I'd like to use the touch interface to pan horizontally. But so far, I can only pan vertically. I can press shift at achieve horizontal panning, but that's not intuitive.
Does anyone know if it's possible to do what I want?

Re: [Renamed] Blur Gradient
Right, I had a tunnel of light in one of my comic scenes, but it took a long time to make, unless if I make it fade completely to white. I also found an example of SVG depth of field here: http://hrum.deviantart.com/art/inkscape-blure-46507939 It's using the same method as proposed by v1nce, but not...

Re: [Renamed] Blur Gradient
v1nce, I've tried your suggestion (single_blur) but it doesn't look very convincing: single_blur.png My alpha ramp was alpha = [0 0 0 0 0.1 0.2 0.4 0.6 0.8 1] (equally spaced steps) and the blurred image used a radius of 7 Maybe there's a better ramp, but overall, the effect looks more like fog than...

Re: [Renamed] Blur Gradient
I'm interested in creating a depth of field effect with a variable blur and I've created an example (only works in Inkscape - IE10 is supposed to support the background image as the source but I couldn't get it to work). I did it using a blur filter with the rarely used background image as the sourc...

Re: how to fill in shapes created defined by multiple stroke
Comine, AND do some node editing to join the end nodes OK, that works, but it doesn't seem easier than the 1st method (flood fill, outset, inset) since you have to find the ends of each segment manually. I'm open to other methods to draw faster. I tried drawing a rough shape with a single stroke an...

Re: how to fill in shapes created defined by multiple stroke
It shouldn't be hard to imagine, but here's an example. The top row is the method that I described. The bottom row is when I use the pencil tool, which isn't merging successfully.

how to fill in shapes created defined by multiple strokes?
Hello everyone. I'm having difficulties drawing my shapes in one continuous stroke, even though I'm using a Wacom Intuous 5. I typically need like 10 strokes to complete a complex shape, after which I want to fill it in with a solid color. I tried doing this with the pencil tool and taking the union...
