well-- I do want the background to remain transparent, I just don't want the image itself to be transparent.

Image set to 100% opaque but it's still partly transparent
I'm working with a png image from a third party which I've imported to inkscape.
On a white background it looks fine but any dark object below it bleeds thru.
OBJECT/FillAndStroke Fill shows opacity = 100% and RGB A = 255
How can I make this image truly opaque?
