Re: Tablet working in 47, but not in 48.2
Aha! Thank you. Fortunately I'd downloaded but not installed 48.1 so just installing that fixed it. I pretty much use it inside the calligraphic tool, but that's the tool I use pretty much all the time (I love weighted pen strokes so much more than sterile constant width lines!)

Re: Tablet working in 47, but not in 48.2
Hiya, Thanks for the help, but having tried it at work with my wacom as well as my genius 610 at home, neither work with pressure sensitivity. In fact they draw without it when they're disabled in the drawing device panel, but as soon as I set it to screen, they don't even draw at all. The cursor fo...

Tablet working in 47, but not in 48.2
Hiya, I have a Genius F610 tablet and I just can't get pressure sensitivity working with 48.2. I can draw with it, but IS just will not recognise the pressure part. I had problems originally with 47, but got it sorted out in the end, but 48.2 is so far resisting any of the combination of toggles in ...

Docking the swatch palette and a bug?
Hi, I'd like to dock the swatch palette alongside the Layers palette (those being the two I use most). However, when I close and reload inkscape, both palettes become hidden, and opening them again places them on top of one another. Also, the Swatch palette's width function doesn't seem to do anythi...

Re: Portable version not reading prefs file correctly?
I've narrowed it down to my Input devices panel. My panel displays two devices, both of which are displayed with chinese characters. If I press 'Save' the prefs become corrupt, if I just choose my tablet (since it's disabled by default for some reason) and carry on, the next load works. Maybe an non...

Re: Your first Inkscape drawing

Just started getting into inkscape, but I'm finding it a very nice way to ink my artwork. This was inkscape from beginning to end, doing roughs up to inks.

Portable version not reading prefs file correctly?
Hi all, I'm running .47pre4 portable version, but it doesn't seem to either save or read its prefs correctly. When I load it it says 'preferences.xml is not a valid xml file' Anyone else experience this? It also lists my tablet (a genius tablet) with oriental characters and starts it 'disabled' so I...

Flip image/rotate view for drawing
Hiya,
I presume this has been suggested earlier since it's an obvious one for a drawing package, but quick ways to flip the image and rotate the view to make it easier for freehand drawing of strokes, as well as checking the flip view to see how it compares.
Regards
Mike
