Re: Open Source Anti-Virus
Well, most people rang free antiviruses like this: 1. Avira AntiVir - they say it has the best detection but that it shows ads inside program 2. avast! - it wastes much resources (like RAM) 3. AVG Free - people say it has bad detection Here is my opinion: Avira AntiVir - I never tried it avast! - it...

Re: Open Source Anti-Virus
Oh, you're right, I forgot about ClamWin. I got it with PortableApps, but I actually never used it (maybe I just scanned for some file to see how does it look like). Still, it doesn't provide real-time protection like AVG, avast!, Avira and other free AVs, so it's not very suitable for dialy use. Av...

Re: Open Source Anti-Virus
Hey, I was wondering about open-source AV few days ago. I agree with both bbyak and microUgly - Open-source means that everyone can change and redistribute it, witch is exactly what we don't want Anti-virus to be. About a week or two ago I was using AVG free, but it caused my Windows to crash very f...

Re: receiving only portion of my image on paper when printing
I went to sleep yesterday so I couldn't answer. It looks like everybody on this forum is in opposite timezone than me. If your document exceeds page dimensions then you need to shrink it while printing. This is what you do: 1. Click "File", then "Page Setup..." 2. Move the r...

Re: Rotating center positioning
I'd love a keyboard like that, though it'd have to be a "natural"-style ergonomic. I'd especially like one because I'm working on a keyboard layout similar to the Right-Handed Illustration layout, except tailored to the types of work I do. Ideally, I'd never have to ta...

Is that an exported PNG from Inkscape? What program were you using to print it?

Re: Rotating center positioning
Inkscape has a few "hidden" features that aren't on any menus or buttons... you have to know the right key to press or that double-clicking brings up a dialog. I think that Optimus Maximus keyboard would be a very handy tool to use with Inkscape, since almost everything is done by pre...

Re: Rotating center positioning
Thank you! They are all much better methods than setting and deleting grids. I kinda haven't read all of the tutorials, so I'm gonna do that now.
And if you are asking yourself; no, there is no hidden text in my post. YES, THERE IS!

Re: Rotating center positioning
Thanks for trying to help, but that's not what I'm asking. I want to get that rotation center in the center of the document (AKA page), not the center of the object itself. SHIFT works when I want reset it's position to default, but not here. However I've found the solution using grids. If someone e...

Re: Setting language
Although it's not the most elegant solution, I used to simply delete the directory containing the language I didn't want. On Windows, I think it's in c:\program files\inkscape\locale\XXXX or something similar. Thanks, it works! I have moved files from the "locale" folder to the desktop ju...

Rotating center positioning
Hi! I'm new with Inkscape, and I'm just trying to make my first work (a wallpaper). This is just an example (I'l change the gradient). http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/80/inkscape.png I'm having a problem with the rotating of the strokes group located down-right. I want to rotate a copy of it 180°...

Re: Setting language
Hello! You're welcome! Maybe you didn't find out because it's only been implemented a few months ago, so you cannot switch languages easily in v0.46 and before. Well, how do you do it? My interface is 95% English and 5% Serbian. I am from Croatia, and system settings on my computer are set to Croati...
