I wish I could make things that realistic.

Fit page to selection?
Howdy,
Is there a shortcut key that one can use for the "Fit page to selection" found in the Document Properties? I find myself using this often and am getting tired of having to open the document properties just to access that button.

Re: Gnu of the Free Software
I like the mystical gnu image. I liked the story up till the artists decided to heck with free software and going on to hack Illistrator. When I first started to get into trying to do computer art, my first attempts were trying to get hacked versions of pay software, but fortunately quickly realize...

Re: Inkscape & Scribus -> Support Chinese?
I have been using Inkscape to make a set of shogi pieces, and for getting the kanji characters it's been as easy as selecting the SimSun font and pasting the text that I copied from a text file. So if you're copying and pasting, I'd think the same thing should work for chinese too if you have the ch...

Re: Disaster Black Box
Here's what it looks like finished. Looks good finished too :) Thanks for the comment. I wasn't looking for crit on that piece though. Oh, oops :) It was just an example of what the image looks toggled in wire-frame mode. There's a wire frame mode? :o <opens Inscape and starts looking through the m...

Re: Our Miniature Dachshund Potchi.
I know the feeling .... Well, you were one of the artists that I was talking about! :D Who? What? Me!? No, that's crazy talk ... I just get lucky occasionally. There's a reason why I only have two things posted on this forum. Oops, how silly of me to have not realized that I wasn't l...

Re: Saving/Loading/renaming Gradients?
I do that single file library method with Blender. So far when I've tried importing things from other svg files, it just seems to bring in the whole file, and then I have to go through an delete all the bits that I didn't want and keep the bits I did. In Blender you can enter the file and select out...

Re: Saving/Loading/renaming Gradients?
1) OK. Haven't really messed with the XML editor at all, but I'll check that out. 2) Woohoo! Thanks for the tip. I don't see how to save .ggr files from Inkscape, but I do see how to import them now. At least I can make custom gradients in GIMP and keep an import-able library of ones I want to reuse...

Saving/Loading/renaming Gradients?
Howdy, I haven't been able to find the answers to these questions, so hopefully someone here can help me out. Is it possible to rename gradients made in Inkscape? The answer appears to be no unfortunately, but maybe someone can suggest something I may have overlooked. Is it possible to save a gradie...
