ok, i have solved some of my problem.......second question.. i have a logo on a the default black page....i have zoomed in so the logo is taking up the whole screen and i want to render it that way. since the background is not an object, i cannot select or cut it out and just render that part....can...

Subsequently, I realised the image was too small for my needs...yet I realised it always saves at the same size. There is another way to save as a .bmp under the file heading, how...

I love the 3d box feature, my issue is, however, when i change their color(using fill tool or just clicking on another color) they lose the 3d shading effect they had in their default blue. Forgive me if this has been mentioned, i did do a search in faqs, plus i m not sure that i am using the correct terminology.. In all of the canvases in inkscape there is this rectangle in the middle of the page: 1, I do not know its purpose. 2. I would like to get rid of it. You can work around this...
