Calligraphic pen issue: Holes at self-intersections
Hello, I'm running into a problem with the calligraphic pen. There are holes in the fill. They appear mainly at sites where the path self intersects (and the pen direction changes). Does anyone know what's causing this problem? Thanks so much for your help! Screen shot 2012-07-24 at 1.05.58 PM.png

"Put on path" problem: vertical offset
Hello. I'm new to Inkscape, so I can't figure out why my text isn't aligning properly when I try to put it on a path. It conforms to the shape of the path, but it's vertically offset.
