Maybe not a polished workaround, but you can use spacer objects, like rectangles. Temporarily you can snap them to help positioning/align and distribute. Was asking if the shadows have blurring. I am not copy-pasting object, I am used to to copy-pasting object COORDINATES to place an item in perfect center of another one. But it seems to align these coordinates to extreme edges.
