I noticed that when i create the same gradient with Illustrator and then save in .pdf, there is no problem. Is that a matter of pdf version (1.4 for inkscape vs up to...

[solved] About PDF Cairo
Hi,
I would like to know why we can only save a document as PDF v1.4, while in Illustrator CS3 we can save in PDF format with a compatibility up to v8
Did i misunderstood something about PDF Cairo or inkscape isn't up to date ?

Re: annotating images, LaTeX and printer faults. ARGH!
The size after compression was about 120 kB I think. Then when I imported it to Inkscape (annotated it) and saved it to PDF it grew to 320 kB. (Any idea why it should increase in size so much?) Because I just compressed the picture to reduce the size, its actual dimensions were still a large 60 by ...
