Well, im using it anyway with a workaround: I export from my notation program to eps. Then i open it with Scribus and save like SVG. Then i open it with Inkscape. well, the font was embeded in that SVG by the convertor. It's possible most viewers don't support embeded fonts, or it might be that SVG doesn't support the embedding of non-SVG fonts. Just for the record, i mailed the pdf to a "PDF to SVG" online conversion service, and they returned a file with the same problem that inkscape have. Note that it's not a problem with the SVG, it's a problem with inkscape. If you determine it was the same problem by opening the SVG in Ink...
