Removing background?
I'm creating a logo for my company and I would like to know how to remove a specific color in an image so that instead of having a white field as a background I would get a transparent background?

I haven't worked alot with cutting out things from detailed pictures, like photos. In this case I have a picture of Charles Darwin, I want to cut out his head and I was wondering what the best techniques for that task would be the best for removing his head.

Whenever I convert an image to PNG it becomes blurred, in Inkscape it's crystal sharp, yes.

Cheers. However I meant that it is fixed at one end so it still can be rotated even though it's hinched, like a shoulder.

I was wondering, is it possible to link together for example: a body with an arm so that the arm is hinched at a certain location so that it dosn't move around while being rotated?

[solved] Combining objects with edges?
I want to combine a circle and a square, both have black edges around them. When I CTRL-G them together the edges dosn't fuse together, any way I can achieve this effect?
